What Happens During a Hearing Test at Wavefront Centre?

When you come in for a hearing test at Wavefront Centre, we start with a friendly conversation. We’ll ask about your hearing concerns, your lifestyle, and any changes you’ve noticed. Understanding your day-to-day life helps us tailor the test, and any recommendations, to you. Tip: Bring a loved one with you to your appointment! 

Next, we’ll take a quick look inside your ears to check for things like earwax, inflammation, or anything else that might be affecting your hearing. Then we’ll move into the hearing test itself. You’ll wear headphones in a quiet space while we assess how well you hear a range of sounds and speech. 

By the end of the appointment, we’ll explain your results in a clear and simple way, and if hearing loss is identified, we’ll talk through your options together. Whether that means considering hearing aids, learning communication strategies, or just keeping an eye on things for now – we’ll help you make a plan that feels right for you.
